About the challenge

The MATLABthon PoliMi is an event organized by MathWorks and the MATLAB Students Ambassador of the Politecnico di Milano.

Use your MATLAB & coding skills, gaining insight into MATLAB mobile and how to create an application which uses your smartphone's sensors to retrieve and analyse data.

Get started

  • Install MATLAB Mobile on your phone and the packages “Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox”, “Mapping toolbox”, “MATLAB Support Package for Apple iOS/Android Sensors”
  • Get the access to MATLAB drive

Requirements

What to Build

You will use MATLAB mobile to collect and export data from your smartphone's sensors; then you will build a MATLAB script (.m) or a Live script (.mlx) containing the code of the application. You can also use another program language to write the code, but using MATLAB will give you a bonus score.

You will put your code with comments and instructions on how to run it on a github folder.

What to Submit

Before the end of the Hackathon, each team must fill out the Submission Form on Devpost. This form asks for:

  • Team Name
  • Team Members
  • GitHub URL to project

Participants must ensure the GitHub URL is public
